Our Story

Having started in 2008 by converting a terraced house, our family-run approach and personal service led to an overwhelming demand for services.

We have more recently relocated and expanded our premises, we now boast twice the area as we previously had, with features including a larger consultation area and medication holding areas to meet the ever-increasing demand. The new location also has a built-in Subway store with the aim of giving our patients the option of healthy, delicious, and fast food after a visit.

The most common reason for countries requiring vaccinations is travellers being exposed to more diseases in new countries. Many places outside of the UK, particularly those in tropical regions or rural areas, have diseases that are not common at home.

This means that you have no natural immunity built up towards them, and you have probably not been vaccinated against them as a child. This means that, as a traveller, you can be highly vulnerable to new and very dangerous diseases.

A vaccination contains a weakened or dead pathogen (a bacterium, virus, or microbe that can cause disease), that in turn triggers the body’s adaptive immune response. When you receive a vaccination, your immune system will begin the production of antibodies and memory cells to combat the ‘infection,’ so immunising you against the virus in its unweakened form.
